The Entrance Door to MachuPicchu is connected to the Inca Trail. It constituted the official entrance to this sacred city, which was entered with signs of reverence. Its proper name would be “Llaqta punku” (the city gate). In its rear part, in both openings, there are trunks containing a cylindrical stone; and above the lintel there is another small rock embedded in the wall, which has a hole in the middle whose purpose was to tie the door that was made of logs.
